Customer Feedback Dear Joe & Justin, I just wanted to send you a big "Thank You" to a great crew! As you may remember, when you asked me about getting certified to dive I was very apprehensive. I knew that I wanted to try but was down right scared! But your team was able to calm some of my fears. I watched my 12 year old do his first Discovery Dive with Scottie, I knew then that I had to at least give it a try. So, Jeff, was there to help me on my Discovery Dive. ( Jeff explained to me that you have to stop trying to inhale with your nose when you have a reg in your mouth.. light bulb moment) I had to get over some of my fears but I was able to get into the diving pool. Some of the skills were harder than others... but when it came to the Confined Water Dive... Angie was my saving grace!!! She understood all of my fears, was able to talk me through them ahead of time and I was able to do all of my skills. I never felt rushed, and that was important to me so that I could work up the courage to do certain skills... you know the ones that are just unnatural for the human body... like taking off a perfectly good, working mask and having water hitting my dry face! I truly believe that if I had a bad experience during the confined portion of the certification I may not have been able to go onto the Open Water Certification. So off we went to the Cayman Islands to finish our certification. Conner @ 12 didn't know any better and he was an underwater natural and did all of his skills with flying colors, now he wants to work on becoming a Rescue Diver. I had to keep telling my self that I've taken my mask off before underwater and I could do it again. Well all said and done I did it and my dive card has Grand Cayman on it forever!!!! Please let Angie know that my final skill on the final day was taking off the mask... and she was with me because that mask strap cover was so helpful. My mask slipped off and back on with ease, just like we practiced in the pool. It made it quicker and easier, less time with water on my face! You know David didn't think I could do it. And well, Conner kept me in check... I couldn't fail in front of my 12 year old. The difference between a 44 year old and a 12 year old... the older one is thinking about all that could go wrong and the 12 year old was just dying to play in the sand 50 feet on the ocean floor. I can't thank you guys enough. Joe your class was a blast, never boring. Justin you could probably convince me to jump out of an airplane too. Scottie watching you work with Conner and seeing how well you worked with him was awesome... it was the perfect first experience for him. Jeff, thanks for being patient... and I will remember to always breathe out of my mouth and not my nose with the mask on & the reg in. Angie, what can I say... if you hadn't been so patient and understanding I don't think I would have finished the Confined Water Cert. And I love my mask strap cover! Many Thanks to the crew and N Depth Scuba. Roz Faulkner PS. Thanks for the license plate holder. I never put "free advertisements" on any of my vehicles. I don't even like the car dealership logo on my vehicles. But for you guys I will drive with it proudly on my car. Because you know what? I'm a certified Open Water diver!
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we all had. Pam on the 1st day and Jay on the 2nd day, were both fantastic. They explained and demonstrated everything so well. We were never confused about what we were supposed to do. That, of course, made everything a whole lot easier to focus and get the skills done. As you know for sure, Joe is awesome. He made what could have been tedious class time into a fun learning environment that made it easy to pay attention and learn. He had great examples, and did a nice job breaking down some of the more confusing material. Now Justin...well Justin is Justin! He was awesome too! What I heard from him and of course about him, cracked me up. He's a great mix of safety and fun, that's what it all boils down to right? Last, but not least, there's you! You put it all together for us. You've always kept us informed on everything from pink fin orders to upcoming classes/trips that made our fun come sooner than later! I can't tell how much it means to us when you take the time to answer all of our questions and make sure we're happy. You were our first contact at NDepth and you made it so we didn't want to do our certification anywhere else. So, to all of you, thank you so much! We couldn't have started this journey with a better group of people! So, to answer your question, Saturday was the last time we did something for the first time. Thanks for being there with us! David, Veronica, and Cameron
Hey Joe, Thanks to you and NDepth Scuba for sponsoring the event! Beyond just the great idea of of participating in a environmental cleanup, You and the folks of NDepth donate so much more. Having positioned rescue divers along the shore, Bringing food and drinks for all, the free equipment loan to all the divers without their own and the give aways that were donated. all this helped make an event that may have been considered a chore, into a fun time for all who attended. The real pat on the back should go to you, Kristi, Justin and the other members of the NDepth Scuba crew that put this together, kept us safe and even fed us on a day that the weather was less than optimal. After all we just got wet and brought up some junk from the bottom. We'd do that anyway and almost anywhere. After all... As long as you make it safely to the surface with your buddy, A bad days diving is better than a good day at work. Unless you dive for a living.
Thanks Again, Rob Edited by RAWalker on Dec 10, 2007 at 2:16 PM Hi Joe, Justin, Chrissy and the Crew!! I wanted to personally THANK YOU for your Support in making the 4th Annual Joey Black Leukemia Poker Tournament an incredible SUCCESS!! Because of you and your help this event raised just under $15K for The Phoenix Children's Hospital to help in the fight against Leukemia. YOU helped make a HUGE difference, know that. In the four years this event has been running it has raised over $35K to help children in need. The event keeps growing bigger each year, and there are so many families that need help, and next year the 5th Annual will be even bigger!! Again, thank you so very much for helping make a difference in the lives of children fighting Leukemia, I can't do this without wonderful people like you helping. I am working as fast as I can to get the pics up on the website (www.joeyblack.org), there are over 300 fun filled images that will be uploaded for everyone to see in the next few days. Lot's of great memories!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! Paul Boyd
